First Group Meeting

For this project Anne organised us into groups. In my group I was working with Billie Wiliams, Tj Tvedt and Ade Adeleke. We decided to use our first group meeting to discuss our ideas for the documentary. Firstly I looked on-line to see what events were going to be held in Farnham and what courses or activities are available for us to look into. I found the Christmas lights were going to be put on around the time we had to film and i thought it would be interesting to see what work had to be put into the event, with the event being the conclusion to the story, Unfortunately the lights were coming on the weekend before we were to film and to film the organisation of the event would have to be filmed within the next week, which would give us no time to prepare. As a group we liked the idea of an observational documentary and tried to come up with someone who could give us an interesting story found it hard to think of anyone to film. Billie thought of the campus cat and that we could look into who the cat belongs to and why it hangs around the university. After doing research I thought it would be interesting to look into the apparent hauntings at the Farnham Castle. I wanted to do this as I am very interested in the paranormal. We also thought of things like mockumentaries, documenting another students documentary, but we didn't come up with a solid idea. So at the end of the meeting we each picked our favourite idea and did research on it so we could pitch the idea during our tutorial with Anne.
