Old Film Edit 2

After taking my pictures in costume and in the scene, I tried the old film grain technique that I had previously learned. I tried the effect on two different scenes with different lightings as I was not sure which set I preferred. I used two pictures and tried a couple different textures over top. I used the same technique as before but I found that the textures often made the images look really dark, so I also tried using different layer filters on the layer that had the texture. Although I was happy with the way my first try at this effect turned out I was not happy with the way it looked in the pictures of my actual photo scene. I thought they looked interesting but I found them to be too dark and the film grain/scratches took focus away from the props and symbolic features I wanted to add to the image. I also thought my scene would be more aestheticly pleasing as a modern looking film  I'm glad I learned how to do this effect but I am pretty sure I'm not going to use it in my piece. For this I did learn how to fix my colours and how to add a texture to a picture which, if I don't use for this project, I will definitely use at some point.
